Breast Implant Revision for Yukon Patients
Yukon is about 11 miles from our Oklahoma City practice. If your implants need attention — a size change, capsular contracture, a leak, or removal — here is what the revision process looks like.

Why revision is its own category of surgery
Revision surgery replaces, corrects, or removes breast implants. The reasons vary: a firm scar shell called capsular contracture, an implant that has shifted position, a leak, a desire to change size, or the decision to be done with implants altogether. Each of those starting points leads to a different surgical plan.
Revision is harder than a first breast augmentation. Scar tissue is already present. The tissue may be thinner. An existing pocket constrains what the surgeon can do. The operation deserves a surgeon who performs this work routinely — and an honest conversation about what is achievable and what is not.
Plans range widely: implant exchange, capsule release or removal, pocket repair, a lift combined with exchange, or removal without replacement. That is why the exam and your written quote come first, before any commitment.
The drive from Yukon
Our practice is located at 12400 Saint Andrew's Drive in Oklahoma City — about 11 miles from Yukon in a straight line. Parking is free and on-site. On surgery day your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up.
Consultations are available in person at the Oklahoma City office or virtual from anywhere. A virtual consultation lets you have a thorough initial conversation without leaving home. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan. You leave that visit with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time.
What happens in the operating room
You receive anesthesia — medicine that makes you sleep. The surgeon usually re-opens the original scar, most often in the fold under the breast. The old implant comes out. Scar-shell tissue — the capsule — is released or removed as your plan requires. The pocket is repaired or reshaped when implants have shifted.
A new implant is placed, or the pocket is closed if you are done with implants, sometimes with a lift. The incisions are closed in layers with dissolving stitches. You go home the same day in most plans. Surgery is performed in our AAAHC-accredited surgery center, which includes a private overnight guest suite if your plan calls for it.
Recovery, honestly
The first few days are usually easier than your first surgery — soreness, tightness, back-sleeping. Most desk workers return at about one week. No lifting over ten pounds during that stretch. By two weeks, soreness fades and light lower-body exercise is usually fine.
Full exercise, including chest work, is typically cleared at six weeks. New implants settle over months. The final shape declares itself as swelling clears and tissue relaxes. Your surgeon sets the specific timeline for your body and your plan.
In any emergency — chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, sudden leg swelling, or bleeding that does not slow — call 911 first. For other concerns after surgery, our line is available day or night at 405-751-0042.
Risks to understand before your consult
Every surgery has risks. The problems that brought you in can return — capsular contracture recurs in some patients. Nipple sensation may decrease, increase, or go away. Thinner tissue after prior surgery can show rippling more easily. An implant can leak or break over time; broken implants are replaced or removed.
Other risks include uneven results — the two breasts are never a perfect match, and revision starts from an uneven baseline — bleeding that may require a return to the operating room, infection, scars that heal differently each time, blood clots, anesthesia complications, and the possibility of yet another surgery. We review every risk with you in person before you decide.
Schedule a consultation
If you are in Yukon and considering breast implant revision, the next step is a consultation — in person or virtual. You will meet the surgeon, describe what bothers you in your own words, be examined, and leave with a written plan and a written quote. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it. Call 405-751-0042 or book online to get started. Consult a qualified surgeon to determine whether revision surgery is appropriate for your situation.
