WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR FACE LIFT

To ensure that you are ready to recover at home, our team will monitor you before releasing you. However, some out-of-town patients may prefer to stay in our overnight guest suite so they have additional help throughout the night. If you plan on going home, you will need a responsible adult to drive and stay with you for the first 24 hours. Before leaving, your doctor will schedule your follow-up appointments and provide detailed aftercare instructions. To ensure proper healing, you will have a large dressing wrapped around your head. On rare occasions, we may place surgical drains attached to bulbs that hang at your neck. These bulbs are removed in approximately 24 hours. To reduce any discomfort, such as bruising, swelling, drainage, and soreness, your doctor may prescribe pain medication. In about a month, you should look and feel much better.
