Cosmetic Surgery in the US for Patients Traveling from Italy

Cosmetic surgery is elective. You choose the surgeon, the facility, and the city. For patients traveling from Italy, here is how a consultation and surgical plan work at our Oklahoma City practice.

By the surgical team of Oklahoma Surgical Arts ·

Why patients travel internationally for cosmetic surgery

Some patients find the right surgeon close to home. Others look further — across borders — because a specific surgeon's experience, a specific procedure, or the standards of the operating facility matter more than proximity. That search is personal, and it is yours to make on your own time.

Oklahoma Surgical Arts serves patients from outside the United States, including from Vietnam, the United Kingdom, India, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, among other countries. Patients traveling from Italy follow the same pathway. The practice operates out of an AAAHC-accredited surgery center in Oklahoma City with two operating rooms.

Dr. Angelo Cuzalina founded the practice and directs its AACS-accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship. His published case volume exceeds 18,000 procedures, with particular focus on rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring. The six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster all serve Oklahoma City patients, and Dr. Trent Fogleman practices in Oklahoma City full-time.

How the consultation works from a distance

Every plan begins the same way, whether you live nearby or overseas. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You describe what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it.

Virtual consultations let patients traveling from Italy have a thorough initial conversation without an additional trip. You can ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or share your goals and the team will match you. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan.

You choose your surgeon and your city. Surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Your records and photography follow you between locations.

The facility and surgery day

The practice is located at 12400 Saint Andrew's Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Parking is free and on-site. On surgery day, your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. The surgical team confirms your arrival time for your specific case — not a general clinic opening.

Bring photo ID, your completed paperwork, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, glasses and a case. Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. Leave jewelry and valuables at your accommodation.

After anesthesia, you may not drive, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you and stays with you for the first 24 hours. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge with your driver and your written instructions.

Procedures and the surgical team

The practice menu includes breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, mommy makeover, gynecomastia surgery, and facial surgery. Dr. Cuzalina's particular focus areas — rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring — draw patients who have specific or revision needs.

Dr. Cuzalina served as president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He holds the SRC Master Surgeon designation in Specialized Cosmetic Surgery for both Face & Neck and Trunk, Breast & Extremities. The practice also offers injectables — including BOTOX®, Jeuveau™, Dysport, XEOMIN®, Juvéderm, SkinVive, Radiesse, Sculptra, and Versa — delivered on the program's standards, consultation first.

Patient forms — registration in English and Spanish, the HIPAA privacy notice, financial policy, and additional documents — are published as PDFs and can be completed before you arrive. The team at 405-751-0042 answers questions about the process at any stage.

Planning your visit from Italy

The practice's consultation form is the starting point. You can complete it online, and the team will reach out to schedule a virtual consultation. During that conversation, the surgeon reviews your goals, your anatomy, and your medical history. A written surgical plan and a written fee follow.

When you are ready to schedule, the team coordinates your pre-operative visit and surgery date so your time in Oklahoma City is organized around your needs. If any instruction from the practice differs from general guidance you read here, the surgical team's direct instructions always take priority. Call 405-751-0042 with any question.
