Brazilian Butt Lift in Oklahoma City.

A Brazilian butt lift moves your own fat — harvested by liposuction from the waist, back, or thighs — into the buttock for shape and projection. The lipo-sculpting is half the result.

BBL safety has been rewritten in the last decade, and we follow the modern standard without exception: fat is placed above the muscle only, never into it. A surgeon who will not discuss BBL safety with you plainly is the wrong surgeon.

Fat grafting survival varies — a portion of transferred fat is resorbed in every patient, which is planned for in the operative strategy. Volume promises in cc’s before an exam are marketing, not medicine.

How it works

What happens in the operating room.

  1. You get anesthesia (medicine that makes you sleep).
  2. Liposuction harvests fat from the donor areas — waist, flanks, back, or thighs — sculpting them as it goes.
  3. The fat is processed and prepared for transfer.
  4. The fat is injected into the buttock above the muscle only — the modern safety standard — in many small passes.
  5. The tiny cuts are closed. A compression garment goes on, shaped to protect the graft.
  6. Surgery takes two to four hours. You go home the same day.

The honest risk list — read it before your consult

Every surgery has risks. These are the main ones, in plain words — and we go over all of them with you in person.

  • Fat embolism — fat entering a vein — is the risk that made BBL safety standards change. Above-the-muscle placement exists to prevent it, and we follow it without exception.
  • A portion of the transferred fat does not survive. Some volume loss is normal; uneven survival can need a touch-up.
  • Firm areas or oil cysts where fat did not take.
  • Dents, waves, or loose skin at the liposuction donor areas.
  • Numb patches at donor or graft sites for weeks to months.
  • Prolonged sitting restrictions — the graft needs protection in the early weeks.
  • Bleeding. Some bleeding can need another trip to the operating room.
  • Infection. Signs are spreading redness, warmth, pus, or fever.
  • Blood clots in the legs. A clot can travel to the lungs. That is an emergency.
  • Problems from anesthesia. These are rare in healthy people.
  • The need for another surgery to fix a problem or improve the result.

Recovery, honestly

What the weeks actually look like.

The arc

First few daysSore in two places — donor areas and graft. No direct sitting; a BBL pillow and side-sleeping are your tools.
Two weeksCareful sitting with the pillow. Desk work from home is realistic for many; swelling still hides the donor-area shape.
Six weeksNormal sitting and full exercise restart. Volume settles as some fat resorbs.
Three to six monthsThe surviving graft is stable — this is your result, and the donor areas show their new contour.

When to call, day or night

In any emergency, call 911 first

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department now — do not drive yourself, do not wait:

  • Chest pain or pressure, shortness of breath, or trouble breathing.
  • Fainting, sudden confusion, or weakness on one side of the body.
  • One leg swells, or one calf hurts more than the other.
  • Blood soaks a bandage and does not slow down with gentle pressure.

Otherwise call 405-751-0042, day or night, if:

  • One area becomes much more swollen, hot, or painful than the rest.
  • You have a fever of 101.5°F (38.6°C) or higher.
  • Redness spreads out from a cut, or you see pus.
  • Sudden shortness of breath or chest pain — call 911 first, always.

Cost, answered

What a Brazilian butt lift actually costs.

We don’t do internet price tags. Pricing moves with your anatomy, primary versus revision, and what your plan combines — so your consultation ends with one written, all-in number: surgeon, anesthesia, AAAHC-accredited facility, and follow-up included. We honor it.

The liposuction is half the operation and half the artistry — donor-area sculpting is part of every BBL plan and every BBL quote here.

Questions

Asked at nearly every consult.

How long does the surgery take?
Two to four hours depending on how many donor areas are sculpted. You go home the same day with an adult to help.
When can I be back at work?
Desk work is realistic at about two weeks with a BBL pillow and careful sitting habits. Normal sitting and full exercise restart around six weeks.
Is BBL safe?
BBL had a real safety reckoning, and the standard that came out of it is clear: fat goes above the muscle only, never into it. We follow that standard without exception and will walk you through it at your consult.
What does it cost?
Pricing is personal — it depends on your anatomy and the complexity of your plan. Your consultation ends with one written, all-in number: surgeon, anesthesia, AAAHC-accredited facility, and follow-up included.
Can I have my surgery in Oklahoma City?
Yes — Oklahoma Surgical Arts operates two operating rooms in Oklahoma City, and surgery can be scheduled in OKC or Tulsa. Your surgery, your choice of city.
