How it works

What happens in the operating room.

  1. You get anesthesia (medicine that makes you sleep) once, for the combined plan.
  2. Breast work comes first in most plans — lift, implants, or reduction as decided with you.
  3. The tummy tuck follows: muscles repaired, extra skin removed, belly button re-set.
  4. Liposuction sculpts the waist or flanks where the plan calls for it.
  5. Everything is closed in layers; garments and dressings go on before you wake.
  6. Combined surgery takes several hours. Some patients stay one night.

The honest risk list — read it before your consult

Every surgery has risks. These are the main ones, in plain words — and we go over all of them with you in person.

  • Every risk of each individual procedure applies — we review the full list for your exact plan in person.
  • Longer anesthesia time than a single procedure. Plans are limited to what is safe in one day.
  • Blood clots. Combined body surgery raises the risk. Early walking lowers it.
  • Fluid buildup under the skin (seroma) that may need office drainage.
  • Slow wound healing, especially in smokers — combined plans demand full nicotine stop.
  • Changes in nipple or belly-skin feeling that can take months to recover.
  • Bleeding. Some bleeding can need another trip to the operating room.
  • Infection. Signs are spreading redness, warmth, pus, or fever.
  • Uneven results. The two sides of the body are never a perfect match.
  • The need for another surgery to fix a problem or improve the result.

First few daysThe hardest days — you walk bent, rest propped up, and let your helper help. Walk a little every few hours.

  • Chest pain or pressure, shortness of breath, or trouble breathing.
  • Fainting, sudden confusion, or weakness on one side of the body.
  • One leg swells, or one calf hurts more than the other.
  • Blood soaks a bandage and does not slow down with gentle pressure.

  • One breast or one side of your belly becomes much more swollen, tight, or painful than the other.
  • You have a fever of 101.5°F (38.6°C) or higher.
  • Redness spreads out from any incision, or you see pus.
  • You feel short of breath at rest — call 911 first, always.

How long does the surgery take?
A combined plan takes several hours — your surgeon gives you the estimate for your exact combination, in writing, at consultation. Some patients stay one night.
When can I be back at work?
Most desk workers return at about two weeks, driven mostly by the tummy-tuck side of the plan. No lifting over ten pounds at first — including children.
Will there be scars?
Yes — each component leaves its own scar: low on the belly for the tummy tuck, on the breast for a lift or reduction, or in the fold for implants. All are planned with you before surgery.
What does it cost?
