Breast Augmentation for The Village Patients
The Village sits about two miles from our Oklahoma City practice. That short drive puts you in the same operating rooms and with the same surgeons who perform breast augmentation as the flagship procedure of this program.

A short drive from The Village to the practice
The Village is about two miles from our Oklahoma City office at 12400 Saint Andrew's Drive — a straight-line distance, with drive time depending on your route and traffic. Parking is free and on-site. On surgery day, your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. No hospital campus to navigate, no parking garage to circle.
Breast augmentation is this practice's flagship procedure. It is performed by the surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts program, with two operating rooms here in Oklahoma City. You choose your surgeon and your city — surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Consultations are available in person at the Oklahoma City office or virtual from anywhere.
What breast augmentation actually is
Breast augmentation adds size and shape to the breasts with implants. An implant is a soft shell filled with salt water or silicone gel. The implant sits behind the breast tissue or behind the chest muscle. You and your surgeon choose the size and placement together at your visit — sized to your frame, decided with you.
In the operating room, you receive anesthesia. The surgeon makes a short incision, most often in the fold under the breast. A pocket is created behind the breast tissue or behind the muscle. The implant is placed, checked for position, and the incision is closed in layers with dissolving stitches. Surgery takes about an hour. You go home the same day.
Implants do not last a lifetime. Plan on additional surgery someday. That is a fact we discuss openly at your consultation, not something you should learn after the fact.
The consultation and what you leave with
Every plan here begins the same way. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You describe what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it.
The six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster all serve Oklahoma City, and Dr. Trent Fogleman practices here full-time. Ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or share your goals and the team will match you. Virtual consultations let you have a thorough initial conversation without driving in. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan.
Recovery, honestly
The first few days bring chest tightness and soreness — like a hard workout. Walk the same day. Sleep on your back. By one week, most people with desk jobs return to work. No lifting over a limit your surgeon sets. By two weeks, soreness fades and light lower-body exercise is usually fine. At six weeks, full exercise resumes, including chest workouts. Implants soften and settle over months.
Living about two miles away in The Village means follow-up visits are a short trip. That proximity matters during the early weeks when your surgeon wants to see how you are healing. It also means that if a question comes up at home, the office is close.
Risks you should know before your consult
Every surgery has risks. A firm scar shell can form around the implant — called capsular contracture — which can change shape and cause discomfort. An implant can leak or break over time; broken implants are replaced or removed. Nipple sensation can change. Breastfeeding may be affected for some women. A very rare cancer of the scar tissue around certain implants has been reported. Some patients report body-wide symptoms they link to implants; removing implants is always an option.
Bleeding, infection, scarring, numbness near the incisions, blood clots, anesthesia complications, uneven results, and the possible need for revision surgery are all on the list. We review every one of these with you in person. In any emergency — chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, or a leg that suddenly swells — call 911 first. For non-emergency concerns after surgery, call 405-751-0042 day or night.
