Traveling to Oklahoma City for Surgery: A Plan for San Antonio Patients
San Antonio is about 427 miles from our Oklahoma City practice — a flight or a long drive. Patients make that trip regularly, and the planning is simpler than most people expect.

Why patients travel for cosmetic surgery
Cosmetic surgery is elective. You choose the surgeon, the facility, and the city. Some patients find the right match close to home. Others look further — across state lines — because a specific surgeon's experience, a specific procedure, or the standards of the facility matter more than proximity.
Oklahoma Surgical Arts operates out of an AAAHC-accredited surgery center in Oklahoma City with two operating rooms. Dr. Angelo Cuzalina founded the practice and directs its AACS-accredited fellowship. His published case volume exceeds 18,000 procedures, with particular focus on rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring. The six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster all serve Oklahoma City, and Dr. Trent Fogleman practices here full-time.
For patients in San Antonio considering a surgeon outside their own city, the question is not whether travel is possible. It is whether the match is worth the trip. That answer starts with a consultation.
The consultation: virtual or in person
Every plan here begins the same way, whether you live seven miles away or seven hundred. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You describe what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it.
Virtual consultations let San Antonio patients have a thorough initial conversation without booking a flight. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan. You may ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or share your goals and the team will match you. You choose your surgeon and your city — surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.
Getting here and knowing what to bring
The practice is located at 12400 Saint Andrew's Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Parking is free and on-site. On surgery day, your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. The team confirms your arrival time for your specific case — not a general clinic opening.
Bring photo ID, your completed paperwork, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, glasses and a case (no contact lenses), phone and charger. Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. Leave jewelry, piercings, and valuables at home.
After anesthesia you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you and stays with you for the first 24 hours. For San Antonio patients, that means planning your companion's trip as carefully as your own.
Surgery day and the first 24 hours
You arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team. Check-in, pre-operative preparation, and a final review with your surgeon and anesthesia provider follow. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge home with your driver and your written instructions.
Surgery in Tulsa is also an option. The Tulsa flagship has a private overnight guest suite. Your consult, records, and photography follow you between cities. When any instruction from your surgical team differs from general guidance, their instructions win.
The full menu of procedures
Breast augmentation is this practice's flagship — alongside the full menu: tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, mommy makeover, gynecomastia surgery, and facial surgery. The practice also offers BOTOX®, Jeuveau™, Dysport and XEOMIN®; Juvéderm, SkinVive, Radiesse, Sculptra and Versa; and physician-dispensed skincare.
San Antonio patients have access to the same surgeons, the same facility standards, and the same photography discipline as local patients. The distance changes the logistics. It does not change the care. If you have questions about a specific procedure, a consultation is the right first step.
