Traveling to Oklahoma City for Cosmetic Surgery: A Planning Guide

Patients travel to Oklahoma City from across Oklahoma, the region, and the country. Here is how they plan it — from the first conversation to the drive home.

By the surgical team of Oklahoma Surgical Arts ·

The consultation starts the plan

Every plan here begins the same way, whether you live seven miles away or seven hundred. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You describe what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it.

Consultations are available in person at the Oklahoma City office or virtual from anywhere. Virtual consultations let out-of-town patients have a thorough initial conversation without booking a flight. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan. Ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or share your goals and the team will match you.

The six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster all serve Oklahoma City, and Dr. Trent Fogleman practices here full-time. You choose your surgeon and your city — surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.

Getting here and knowing what to bring

The practice is located at 12400 Saint Andrew's Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Parking is free and on-site. On surgery day, your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. The address and directions are published on the practice's Visit & Contact page, and the team confirms your arrival time for your specific case — not a general clinic opening.

Bring photo ID, your completed paperwork, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, glasses with a case (no contact lenses), and your phone and charger. Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry, piercings, and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. Patient forms — registration in English and Spanish, the financial policy, and other documents — are available as printable PDFs before your visit.

Your driver and your first twenty-four hours

This is the non-negotiable rule for every patient, local or traveling: after anesthesia you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first twenty-four hours. Your driver checks in with you on surgery day, stays reachable by phone the entire day, and receives your discharge instructions in person.

For out-of-town patients, this means planning a companion into the trip. Some patients bring a spouse or a friend. Some coordinate with family already in the area. The surgical team discusses this logistics step during your consultation so nothing is left to the last minute. If you prefer to have surgery in Tulsa instead, the flagship facility has a private overnight guest suite — your consult, records, and photography follow you between cities.

Surgery day and the facility

Oklahoma Surgical Arts operates out of an AAAHC-accredited surgery center with two operating rooms in Oklahoma City. You arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team. Check-in, pre-operative preparation, and a final review with your surgeon and anesthesia provider happen in sequence. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge home with your driver and your written instructions.

The written plan you received at your consultation — procedure, approach, recovery arc, and the all-in quote covering surgeon, anesthesia, accredited facility, and follow-up — is the plan that is honored. No surprises on surgery day. When any printed instruction differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win.

Where our out-of-town patients come from

Patients travel from communities across Oklahoma — Norman, Lawton, Enid, Stillwater, Shawnee, Ardmore, and beyond. Regional patients come from Dallas, Kansas City, Little Rock, Wichita, Fayetteville, Springfield, and other cities throughout the central United States. National patients reach us from both coasts — from cities like Denver, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, New York, and Atlanta.

The practice menu is broad: rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, eyelid surgery, mommy makeover, gynecomastia surgery, total-body contouring, complex revision surgery, and facial surgery. Patients seek out Oklahoma City for the specific surgeon and the specific procedure — and the team builds the logistics around them.
