Cosmetic Surgery in OKC for Abilene, TX Patients
Abilene, TX is about 250 miles from our Oklahoma City practice. Here is how patients who make that trip plan the consult, the surgery day, and the recovery — start to finish.

A personal connection to Abilene
Dr. Angelo Cuzalina completed his general cosmetic surgery fellowship in Abilene, TX. That training shaped the surgical philosophy he brought back to Oklahoma — and the practice he built. Oklahoma Surgical Arts is his Oklahoma City practice, operating out of an AAAHC-accredited surgery center with two operating rooms at 12400 Saint Andrew's Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
The practice offers a full menu: rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, total-body contouring, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, eyelid surgery, mommy makeover, gynecomastia surgery, and facial surgery. The six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster all serve Oklahoma City patients, and Dr. Trent Fogleman practices in Oklahoma City full-time.
The consultation starts the plan
Every plan begins the same way, whether you live nearby or are traveling from Abilene. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You describe what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — both yours to keep, to decide on your own time. There is no pressure in the room and none after you leave it.
Consultations are available in person at the Oklahoma City office or virtual from anywhere. Virtual consultations let out-of-town patients have a thorough initial conversation without booking a flight. When surgery is scheduled, a single in-person pre-operative visit confirms the plan. You may ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or share your goals and the team will match you.
You choose your surgeon and your city — surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Call 405-751-0042 to start the conversation.
Getting here and getting home
Abilene is about 250 miles from the practice — a flight or a long drive. Parking at the surgery center is free and on-site. On surgery day, your driver pulls directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. The team confirms your arrival time for your specific case, not a general clinic opening.
Bring photo ID, your completed paperwork, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, glasses and a case — no contact lenses. Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. Leave jewelry, piercings, and valuables at home.
After anesthesia you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours. Your driver checks in with you, stays reachable by phone for the entire day, and receives your discharge instructions in person.
Surgery day and recovery
You arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team. Check-in, pre-operative preparation, and a final review with your surgeon and anesthesia provider follow. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge home with your driver and your written instructions.
For traveling patients, planning a comfortable place to stay nearby after surgery is practical. The Tulsa flagship has a private overnight guest suite — your consult, records, and photography follow you between cities if you choose surgery in Tulsa instead. When any instruction from your surgical team differs from general guidance, their instructions win.
