Cosmetic Surgery in OKC for Dallas Patients: Trip, Consult, Recovery

Dallas is about 199 miles from our Oklahoma City practice — a flight or a comfortable drive. Here is what the trip, the consultation, and the recovery look like when you choose Oklahoma Surgical Arts.

Why Dallas patients make the trip

We see patients who travel. Dallas is about 199 miles from our Oklahoma City office — close enough that many people drive, though a short flight works too. The distance is real, so the question is fair: why leave a major metro for surgery? The answer is usually specific. A patient wants a particular surgeon, a particular approach, or a particular environment. We do not try to be everything to everyone. We do specific things well.

Oklahoma Surgical Arts is the surgical program behind Tulsa Surgical Arts and its AACS-accredited fellowship. We operate out of an AAAHC-accredited surgery center with two operating rooms in Oklahoma City. Dr. Angelo Cuzalina founded the practice. Dr. Carisa Champion and Dr. Chase Nelson operate here through the week, and the six cosmetic surgeons of the Tulsa roster all serve Oklahoma City — with Dr. Trent Fogleman practicing here full-time.

The menu is broad: rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, eyelid surgery, mommy makeover, gynecomastia surgery, total-body contouring, and complex revision surgery. Non-surgical options include BOTOX®, Jeuveau™, Dysport, XEOMIN®, Juvéderm, SkinVive, Radiesse, Sculptra, and Versa — always consultation first, never a cart.

The consultation: virtual or in person

Every plan starts the same way. You meet the surgeon. You are examined. You say what bothers you in your own words. You leave with a written plan and a written, all-in number — surgeon, anesthesia, AAAHC-accredited facility, and follow-up included. Both are yours to keep. You decide on your own time. There is zero pressure.

For traveling patients, a virtual consultation is a practical first step. You can discuss goals, share photos of results you admire, and review your medical history from home. If surgery makes sense, the surgeon will outline the approach and the recovery arc before you commit to a trip. When you are ready, surgery happens in Oklahoma City or Tulsa — your choice of city.

Bring a list of medications and supplements, your surgical and medical history including any prior cosmetic surgery, and your questions written down. If you have breast implants, bring your implant card if you can find it. Consults answer more when you arrive prepared.

Surgery day and the first 24 hours

Our address is 12400 Saint Andrew's Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Free on-site parking is available, and you can pull directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. You arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team — it is set for your specific case, not a general clinic opening.

After anesthesia, you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you and stays with you for the first 24 hours. Your driver checks in with you, stays reachable by phone for the entire day, and receives your discharge instructions in person. For Dallas patients, this means planning an overnight stay in Oklahoma City with your companion.

Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry, piercings, and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge home with your driver and written instructions.

Recovery planning for traveling patients

Recovery timelines depend on the procedure. Your surgeon will map the arc — when you can travel home, when follow-up visits are needed, and what to watch for while you heal. Some patients stay in Oklahoma City for their early recovery period; others return to Dallas and coordinate follow-up virtually or with scheduled trips back. Your surgical team will tell you what is safest for your specific case.

When any written instruction from this page differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win. That principle matters especially for traveling patients, because your recovery plan may be adjusted based on distance and logistics. The team is reachable at 405-751-0042 throughout your healing.

Start with a conversation

If you are in Dallas and considering cosmetic surgery, we welcome the conversation. Request a consultation — virtual or in person — by calling 405-751-0042, texting us, or filling out the consult form on our site. Ask for a specific surgeon when you book, or tell us your goals and we will match you. One conversation, no obligation, a written plan you can take home and think about.

Individual results vary. This article is general education, not medical advice.

Questions

Asked in real consults.

Can I do my consultation virtually from Dallas?
Yes. Virtual consultations are available. You meet the surgeon by video, discuss your goals, review your medical history, and receive an initial assessment. If surgery is appropriate, you will have a written plan and a written, all-in number before you travel. Call 405-751-0042 or fill out the consult form to schedule.
Do I need someone to stay with me after surgery?
Yes. A responsible adult must drive you home after anesthesia and stay with you for the first 24 hours. You may not take a rideshare alone or leave unaccompanied. For Dallas patients, this means your companion should plan to stay overnight in Oklahoma City with you.
Which surgeons are available in Oklahoma City?
Dr. Carisa Champion and Dr. Chase Nelson operate in Oklahoma City through the week. Dr. Trent Fogleman practices here full-time. All six cosmetic surgeons on the Tulsa Surgical Arts roster also serve Oklahoma City patients. Ask for a specific surgeon or let us match you to your goals.
Can I choose to have surgery in Tulsa instead of Oklahoma City?
Yes. Surgery can happen in Oklahoma City or Tulsa — your choice of city. Your consult, records, and photography follow you between locations. The Tulsa flagship also has a private overnight guest suite. Consult with a qualified surgeon to determine which location best fits your plan.
